IV Therapy and the NCLEX – fluid types / sample questions / starting an IV
This week we’re talking about IV therapy, meds and calculations. Today we’ll go over fluid types, some question links and how to start an IV. Later this week we’ll talk about math and calculating important things that are related to IV’s. When I graduated nursing school and got a job I worked on Peds. I had a wonderful group of LPN’s that worked with me. When I started I told them every shift that if they had any IV’s to restart to tell me and I wanted to try and start it – with their guidance of course. The more IV’s you start, the better you’ll become at getting them the first time.
